If the Probabilities that a tourist will visit Po Lin Monastery, the Peak, and both white staying in Hong Kong are 0.6, 0.75 and 0.45 respectively, find the Probabilities that a tourist tourist will visit Po Lin Monastery or The Peak.

最佳解答:

The above must be wrong since the probability of an event cannot be > 1. P ( Po Lin ) = 0.6 P ( Peak ) = 0.75 P ( Po Lin and peak ) = 0.45 So P ( Po Lin or Peak ) = P ( Po Lin ) + P ( Peak ) - P ( Po Lin and Peak ) = 0.6 + 0.75 - 0.45 = 0.9

其他解答:

P(visit Po Lin Monastery)=0.6 P(visit the Peak)=0.75 Probabilities(visit Po Lin Monastery or The Peak) = 0.6+0.75 = 1.35
